I bought this strap for backpacking and immediately used it on a 74-mile walk. I like to have my camera out and available for photo opportunities but that has always meant that one hand was holding my camera to keep it from swinging from side to side. This strap has enough stretch in it to make it comfortable, and to allow you to pull your camera out in an instant. Once my backpack was on, I didn't even notice it anymore. A great product that kept my hands free on the trail and kept my camera from banging into things whenever I bent down.
I live in Yosemite and am often hiking with my camera. To save weight I usually have it around my neck, but it would flop around as I'd climb and walk around. This product is inexpensive and keeps the camera from flopping around, and keeping it out of my bag saves my back that much more. I'd reccommend it to anyone who usually hikes or backpacks with their camera around their neck.
Does the job. I no longer have to wear a day pack just to have a belt to put my camera case on. Just neck strap and this and i can hike/bike all day long (non rainy weather) and have instant access to camera without fiddling with case zippers etc. Holds it tight against my lower chest so none of that bounce bump thing with just neck strap.
Money wisely spent, and USA made!
