The Bino/Cam Harness™ is available in either a webbing or elastic version. The webbing version is non-stretch. The elastic version allows your camera or binoculars to be held tighter against the body in the idle position and stretches so the camera or binoculars can be comfortably brought up to the eyes for use.

I tried this harness as an alternative to a neck strap since I often walk around with rather heavy camera setup (FF DSLR and a 400mm lens). This harness (webbed version) makes a world of difference! It's inexpensive, very easy to use, very comfortable, and best of all causes no neck/back pain for me at all. All day hikes, or all day at an airshow with a heavy camera and this harness are no problem. The 1" webbing does not dig into my shoulders at all and they don't trap heat/sweat under them on those hot summer days. The harness even works great over a winter coat for the cold seasons. The one thing I do recommend is to get the longer, adjustable connectors. That will give you more freedom of movement with a camera and let you adjust how high/low it hangs based on your preference. The instant I saw this product I had to have it. I'm disabled however I love gettin' out and takin' pictures. I can't stand any strap around my neck, camera swingin' from side to side, keepin' a hand on it plus walkin' with a cane, left me with no free hand. Well not any more! This camera harness has eliminated that problem. I got the webbed version and it's very easy to use, can be worn all day, is very comfortable and carries the weight of my camera, (Pentax K20D plus grip), extremely well. When not in use it takes up very little room in my camera bag. I've been asked by fellow shutterbugs where I got it and I simply, say optech.com. Thanks, guys, for a great product! I was constantly getting pain in my upper back and neck from carrying my heavy camera gear around my traditional neck strap. I tried several different straps with more padding and contour but no relief after a 4-8 hour shoot. My local camera got this OP/TECH Bino/Cam Harness (mesh) in the other day and I picked it up for less than $30. I used it the following Saturday for a 7 hour wedding I shot. From start to finish I barely even noticed the weight of the camera gear due to the amazing design of this product. By the end of the night I had no pain AT ALL!!! Absolutely amazing product!! Question:
What strap is compatible with the snap fittings on my new harness? I'd like to be able to snap a standard shoulder strap in place of the harness when I have to carry the camera for short periods of time.
Answer:
I would suggest the Super Classic Strap in the Uni-Loop version. It has the same Uni-Loop connectors that the Bino/Cam Harness has.
Question:
Do the Mini QD Loops work with the Bino/Cam Harness? I want to use the harness interchangably for cameras and binoculars.
Answer:
The clips themselves are not the same size and therefor are not interchangeable. The Uni-Loops (of the Bino/Cam Harness) use regular size quick disconnects and the Mini QD Loops use a "mini" quick disconnect. However, you can connect the loop end of the Uni-Loop (from the Bino/Cam Harness) to the open end (the side opposite the loop) of the Mini QD Loops. Then you can use the loop portion of the Mini QD Loops to connect to your camera. The Mini QD Loops are great for cameras/binoculars with small connection areas.
Question:
I have bought this product for my Nikon d80. I have connected the connectors to the camera body no problem but I don't know how to wear the harness. HOW DO I PUT IT ON IT IS THE MOST CONFUSING PRODUCT I EVER BOUGHT. Looked on YouTube for videos no use. Some instructions on how to put it on my body. Thanking you..
Answer:
The easiest way is to unclip the camera from the harness, then pass your arms through the two large loops. Center the leather piece on your back, and then re-clip on your camera.
