All camera and lens controls are easily seen and operated through the Rainsleeve™. It can be used either hand-held or on a tripod. If shooting with a long lens, the tripod mount can be attached directly through the pliable plastic. If shooting using an OP/TECH USA neck strap, simply attach the quick disconnects directly through the pliable plastic. (Note: verify that you have a positive lock on the quick disconnects.) The drawstring enclosure will fit any lens up to seven inches (17,8 cm) in diameter and up to 18 inches (45,7 cm) long.

The Rainsleeve™ - Flash offers the same great features as the original Rainsleeve™ yet can accommodate a camera shoe-mounted flash (up to approx. 7" tall x 5" wide x 4" deep). It effectively shields a camera, lens and flash unit from the elements and fits easily in the pocket or camera bag. It also features a unique eyepiece opening that adapts to most camera viewfinders, allowing composition of shots through the camera’s lens, not through the plastic. All camera, lens and flash controls are easily seen and operated through the Rainsleeve™ - Flash. The drawstring enclosure will fit any lens up to seven inches (17,8 cm) in diameter and up to 14 inches (35,6 cm) long.

The Rainsleeve™–Mega is the must-have accessory for avid outdoor photographers, offering a shield from the elements that fits easily in the pocket or camera bag. It features a unique eyepiece opening that adapts to most camera viewfinders, allowing composition of shots through the camera’s lens, not through the plastic. All camera and lens controls are easily seen and operated through the Rainsleeve™–Mega,. It can be used either handheld or on a tripod, and a small hole can be made to accommodate mounting longer lenses to the tripod or a gimbal head. The elastic drawstring enclosure with barrel locks will fit any camera/lens configuration up to eight inches (20,3 cm) in diameter and up to 25 inches (63,5 cm) long.

Conveniently packaged with two per bag, the Rainsleeve™ and Rainsleeve™ - Flash are an economical way to make sure camera gear is protected in any kind of unexpected weather. The Rainsleeve™ and Rainsleeve™ - Flash are also available in a Counter Display of twenty 2-packs.

Rainsleeve Instructions

When attaching the Rainsleeve™ - Flash version, it's best to first put the lens and camera in the Rainsleeve™ - Flash. Once they are situated, attach the flash unit to the camera. To remove, reverse the process.

The convenient eyepiece on the and adapts to fit most viewfinders. If you have a removable eye cup, remove it and stretch the eye opening around the eye cup mount. Once in place, simply reattach the eye cup for a water tight seal.

Place the edge of the lens section of the Rainsleeve™ on the end of the lens. Press in the barrell lock on the drawstring and slide it tight up against the lens to hold it firmly in place. If the weather gets really bad, you can pull it over the end of the lens and close it up completely until the weather improves.

I have purchased several over the yeras and have found there is none better in the market place. I've tried more expensive ones and they are just to cumbersome and not as good except for the material which will not tear. (posted on 9/4/12)

I brought a pack of the flash-sleeves with me to Thailand last year for the Songkran festival. Shooting it, was like trying to capture the world's largest water fight - EVERYTHING got wet, except my camera with the Rainsleeve on it. I found that it did fog up a bit when I kept my hand in the sleeve for a long period (I use a wrist strap), but this was expected.

The fit was good on all of my lenses, but I found it useful to have a few extra rubber bands to snug things up a bit. And if the sleeve is soaking wet when you want to remove it from the camera - just towel the gross moisture off, before you remove it from the camera (duh).

In the future, I would never dream of using my $3,000 set up in those conditions without the protection of a Rainsleeve, and I now carry one in my gear-bag everywhere I go.

I love this cover. It works great with most lenses. Works best with a 80-200 or a 300 f/2.8. I would like to see a longer version for 400mm f/2.8 and 500mm f/4 lenses and a shorter version for normal and wide angle lenses. I shoot lots of sports and I keep a Rainsleeve with me all the time. However, I am not sure if I would ever have use for the flash sleeve. (posted on 8/17/11)
Cheap Alternative but Only ONE size = HUGE review by Andrew L.

These Rainsleeves are great, especially if you are shooting with a large 70-200mm f/2.8 lens as shown in the photos. I always keep one in my camera bag in a zip-loc baggie with a pack of silica-gel in it.

If you are like me, and usually shoot with a shorter lens or primes, the excess plastic is a very big nuisance. It makes it hard to hold the camera and you have a foot long cord hanging down from the lens hood. I plan to cut one down and just tape the lens cover to the lens hood. Unfortunately, that makes it more of a one-time use item.

I wish they would make a version for a shorter lens with a smaller opening for the lens hood.

All this aside, it is still the cheapest rain protection out there. A little cumbersome and unweildy but it does work--and I will continue to use them. However, when they make a short version, I'll buy one for every lens I have. (posted on 3/22/11)

It's awesome to keep my camera dry. The only drawback is taking it off. Everything gets wet when you take it off. (posted on 12/4/10)
