The S.O.S. Strap™ "Saves On Shoulders" with its unique internal control-stretch system and tailored design that effectively distributes weight and absorbs shock of movement. It's the perfect strap for heavy bags and cases. The metal swivel snap hooks secure the strap to most bags and cases; however, they can be easily removed if the 1.5" (38,1mm) webbing is the preferred connection option. It is now available in three versions.
The S.O.S. Strap™ has 2.75" by 11" neoprene pad with non-skid surface and 1.5" metal swivel hooks and webbing.
The S.O.S. Curve Strap™ is the same as the S.O.S. Strap™ except that it has a slight curve to the neoprene pad allowing the strap to rest more securely on the shoulder.
The Mini S.O.S. Strap™ has a slightly smaller neoprene pad (2.25" by 10") with non-skid surface and uses 1" webbing with metal swivel hooks. The Mini S.O.S. Strap™ does not come in the color Nature.

I have the SOS Curve strap in black.Functionality Construction Quality Comfort Durability Value
This product has made carrying my heavy Magnum bag far less of a painfull process. I can now carry it all day whereas before I would be limited to about 4 hours before I wanted to gnaw my arm off with the std Low Pro strap. I simply could not now operate without it.
There are however three small criticisms which I really hope OpTech will take on board. I'm very willing to work with them if reqd.
- The first two are to do with length. The length of the neoprene part of the strap its fine when carrying the bag beneath the shoulder its slung over. However if you need it to go diagonally, with the bag on your bum cheek and out of the way, it ends up cutting in as its not quite long enough.
- The second is that with being 6'4" tall, the whole strap is simply too short - prob by about 4". My feeling is that offering one for bigger bodies would go down well.
- Lastly, a color issue. I also own a Billingham bag which I use for more 'formal' shoots when I'm wearing a suit etc. A brown version to go with this type of bag would be snapped up! (posted on 9/26/10)
